"Don't get caught in the Spiders Web"

This is a meditative representation of a night when I walked out our back door and straight into a spider's web. This was no ordinary spider; this spider was hugh and very nasty looking. The thought of that web tangled in my hair sends shivers down my spine even now. Frame and mat not included. The frame and mat were added for representational purposes only. Shipped in a sleeve with sturdy backing to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition. Shipped through USPS first class mail with tracking and delivery confirmation. Please feel free to contact me with any questions--I will be more than happy to help! When I was young I dreamed of becoming an artist; but like so many aspiring artists I didn't follow my dream but instead went to business school and got an accounting degree. I spent the last 29 years working as a CPA/CFO in the construction and real estate business. Three years ago I started to draw again as a way to relax. My drawings are almost meditative in the metaphysical sense as well as in content and form. I don't start with any particular idea of where the drawing is going. I let my thoughts guide where and how my pen reacts to the paper. I am always surprised with the finished piece.

  • About the Art

This piece is a meditative representation of walking through a spider's web on a dark stairwell. I walked out of our screened porch and down the stairs to the back yard to let the dogs out and walked right through a spider's web. I knew this was no ordinary spider; I had seen it earlier in the day. This spider was large and very mean looking. I could only imagine all the bad things this spider was going to do to me as a result of carelessly walking through it's web. As it turns out the spider was not on my person but it was forever in my mind and art.
